WHAT REMAINS CLOSE" A solo exhibition of ceramic sculpture by Rachel Hadari April 25 – May 31, 2025 Newport, RI – Cusp Gallery is pleased to present What Remains Close, a solo exhibition of ceramic sculpture by Rachel Hadari, on view from April 25 through May 31,2025. Hadari’s sculptures are grounded, intimate forms that beautifully illustrate the strength of human connection. Figures lean into one another, hold space, and form constellations of support. They depict the weight we carry and the ways we are shaped by touch, proximity, and shared experience. These works are physical expressions of relationship, of memory held in the body and passed between generations.

Opening Reception: Jim Heskett, New England Emerging Artist exhibition “Light, Dark, Water”

OVERLAP, a contemporary art gallery located in Newport, RI, is pleased to announce the upcoming show “Thicket”, a group exhibition featuring nearly forty artists from throughout the Northeast; guest-curated by Rhode Island-based artist, Kirstin Lamb. The exhibition will be on view from June 7- July 19. The exhibition brings together a dynamic mix of media, scales, and interpretations—spanning the natural world and imagined interior landscapes. These works are assembled into an immersive environment that shifts and flows, shaped by the unique perspectives of each artist and the evolving relationships between the pieces within the context of the show.
