Newport, RI — May 7, 2025— The spirit of summer in Newport is getting a lively twist as Stoneacre Garden transforms into a vibrant celebration of art, community, and pride.

On June 8, join us for a high-energy Pink Pony Disco Tea Dance in the heart of downtown, benefiting two beloved local organizations: the Newport Artists Collective and Newport Pride.

From 4:00 – 7:00p, the Side Car at Stoneacre will come alive with music, dancing, and community connection. Attendees will sip curated cocktails and groove to beats from a local DJ—all while supporting creative expression and LGBTQ+ inclusion in Newport.

“This Pink Pony Disco Tea Dance is more than a party—it’s a joyful gathering that brings together the city’s vibrant arts and queer communities,” said Curtis Speer, one of the event’s coordinators. “We’re thrilled to spotlight two nonprofits that are doing powerful work to make Newport more expressive, inclusive, and connected.”

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit:

• Newport Artists Collective, which provides support and visibility for local artists through exhibitions, programming, and collaborative opportunities.

• Newport Pride, a nonprofit championing inclusivity and visibility for LGBTQ+ residents and visitors through advocacy, events, and partnerships.

Guests are encouraged to dress in FESTIVE PINK attire and bring their most expressive selves for an afternoon that blends Newport’s historic charm with a progressive spirit.

Tickets are available at the door for $20. Because capacity is limited, early reservations are recommended.
