Denise Lafer is an Abstract artist living in a suburb of Boston, MA.
Her work is inspired by nature and the impact of major life events.
Her paintings are often layered to incorporate acrylic, oil sticks, watercolor, and pastels.
Most recently experimenting with materials like tea bag paper and coffee.
She currently works out of a studio in her home, which she shares with her husband and two children.

“The Salon Series in the Library of the Brenton Hotel” is designed to give Brenton Hotel guests and the Newport community a chance to speak to local artists and gallery owners to learn more about Newport, RI’s vibrant fine art scene.
The Newport Artist Collective’s “Salon Series @ The Brenton Hotel” is held every Thursday night from 5:00 to 7:00 and highlights a different artist or gallery.
