Hello! And Thank You for taking the time to look at my artwork.
Unlike many other artists, I didn’t grow up with a pencil in my hand, drawing everything in sight.
Instead, I loved science and biology and went on to earn my Doctor of Optometry degree, spending over two decades in private practice, happily caring for patients exactly as I imagined I would.
The thought of picking up a paintbrush never even entered my mind... until I turned 40 and became restless living the most picture-perfect life you can imagine.
It sounds like the average, roll your eyes, midlife crises... but it was actually a wake-up call to get out of my monotonous, comfortable routine and do something that challenged me to grow and face fears I didn’t know I had.
Fast forward through a few years of tearful soul-searching and here I am ... constantly challenging myself, taking risks, practicing vulnerability, and connecting with the deepest parts of myself.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have found something that fills my life with so much joy and meaning.
I hope you enjoy my paintings and feel the joyful playfulness and sense of peace that I’m trying to share through my art.
