Anna-Marie Schnese is a painter and mixed media artist whose work is a vivid reflection of the world around her, shaped by a life of movement and exploration. Growing up in a nomadic environment, she developed a deep connection to the landscapes, textures and emotions that accompany a life on the move. In 2024, she chose to settle in Newport, Rhode Island, embarking on a new chapter of self-discovery and artistic expression.
Her work captures the essence of her journey - melding vibrant colors, layered textures, and organic forms to convey the beauty and complexity she encounters in everyday life. Each brushstroke is influenced by the places she’s been, the people she’s met, and the emotions that resonate within her.
