ML Kirchner – photographer

Chip Leakas has been creating art since he was a child. Recently he built a 600 sq. ft. studio in his home to focus on painting. His style of painting includes abstract, impressionist, landscape, portraits, figures, still life, flowers, animals and homes. His preferred medium is acrylics - however many of his abstracts are "mixed media" using sand, glass, rust, fabric, paper, glitter, crayon, pastels, etc.

I have been seeing the beauty in the world through the lens of a camera for as long as I can remember. It all started with my dad, also a photographer, gifting me a film camera when I was only six years old. From then on, my favorite times have been spent observing our world and capturing the beauty and joy in the fleeting moments. I grew up on a horse farm and have always had a deep love for animals and nature, which shines through in the work that I create. I started my photography business to share the beauty I see in the world with others and inspire them to get outside and fall in love with travel and nature because what you love, you will protect.

I work with mission-driven, adventurous brands, retreats, and eco-tourism brands with sustainability at the forefront of what I do. Whether it's capturing a brand's unique story, showcasing the essence of a retreat, or telling the story of an incredible place or journey, my focus is always on nature and the brands and people that come together to celebrate and protect it. Through my process of content trips, I create an inspiring and cohesive visual identity to help your brand move beyond the struggle to meet sales goals and allow you to have a thriving business so that you can focus on your mission, and make a bigger impact for our beautiful planet and its inhabitants.

Karen Roarke is an abstract painter exploring the palette, shapes and light found in the natural world and optical phenomena. She enjoys the process of painting; from layering and revealing to pattern and fluidity. Roarke’s studio is located in Middletown, RI near Newport’s Easton’s Beach.
